Testicular Cancer: Patient Centred Care Example


The patient will be placed at the centre of care by hospital staff. They may do this by asking how they are feeling and answering any questions the patient might have. This will make the patient feel more at ease in the hospital and trust the staff more. 

An oncologist will make sure the patient is involved in most decisions to be made. For example, treatment will be discussed and they will be able to decide which type of treatment e.g. chemotherapy or radiotherapy, they would like to have.
