Stratford (Case study)

Stratford was one of the most deprived communities in the country. High unemployment levels and poor health. The majority of the working population worked in unskilled, low paying jobs.

Negatives:

  • 450 houses and Britain's largest church will have to be demolished to make room for the athlete's village. People have to be relocated.
  • Construction will destroy every building, business and tree in the surrounding area.

Enviromental impacts:

  • Olympic Park opened to the public
  • Surrounding area was cleaned up…

This is really helpful considering geography isn't my favourite subject I have taken and I can never seem to get facts for nine markers so this will really help me get as many possible marks. it is really useful because they are short and sweets
