Stopping Distances

STOPPING DISTANCE - shortest distance a vehicle can safely stop in.

THINKING DISTANCE: distance travelled by the vehicle in the time it takes the driver to react (ie the drivers reaction time on when to press the brakes)

BRAKING DISTANCE- distance travelled by the vehicle during the time the the braking force ACTS. (because when pressed, the car still moves some.)
