differentiation- the process by which a cell changes to become specialised for its job. 

undifferentiated cells (stem cells)- can divide to produce lots more undifferentiated cells. they can change into different types of cells. 

stem cells are found in human embryos. in adults stem cells are found in places like bone marrow but they cant turn into any cell like embryonic cells they can only turn into blood cells. the stem cells can be grown in a lab to produce clones and made to differentaiate into specialised cells to use in medicine or research. 

some medicine already uses adult stem cells to cure diseases. for example stem cells from the bone marrow of a healthy person can replace faulty blood cells in the patient who recieves them. there…
