BACKGROUND AND AIM
The aim was to investigate the effects of the de-connection and show that each hemisphere has diffrent functions, in other words to map lateralisation of brain function and show that info in one suede of the brain is not accessible to the other side
METHOD AND DESIGN
Sperry (1968) used a quasi experiment in a laboratory with an independant measures design
The independant variable was wheather the individual had a split brain or not
There were dependent variable was the individuals performance on visual and tactile tasks
Sperry’s (1968) study did not have a control group. This was because the effects of not having a split-brain were already known. Therefore, there was no need to have a control group.
