Spanish Civil War 1936

In 1936 a civil war broke out in Spain between communists and General Francos rebels. Hitler sees this as the perfect opportunity for him to test his weapons out and to show that he hates communist by killing them. Mussolini was also involved in this invasion.

In 1937 the league didnt looked on helplessly as German aircrafts made devastating bombing raids in various Spanish cities.
