A quadratic equation is an equatoin where the highest power is squared. To solve a quadratic equation we must make it equal zero.
E.g.
1) x^2 - 3x + 2 = 0
Factorise
(x - 2)(x - 1) = 0
We have two brackets that multiply together to make 0 so one of them but be 0
x - 2 = 0 x - 1 = 0
