Solubility is the amount of solute which will dissolve into a given volume of solvent.

The solubility of solids increases with temperature because there are bigger gaps between the molecules, and they mvoe more. The solubility of solids is measured in g/cm^3.

The solubility of gases decreases with temperature because the intermolecular forces are more easily broken. However, the solubility of a gas increases with pressure. This is because they are forced into the solution.
