- Leech (nuclear family) - States that a family is small and compact in structure an is composed of a mother, a father and usually 2 or 3 children who are biologically related to each other. The relationship between the parents should be heterosexual and should only be based on romantic love. Children are seen as the outcome of this romantic love. Leech says the relationship between the 2 adults should be reinforced by marriage which will encourage fiedelity and promotes stability within the family.
