A crime is an illegal act which is punishable by law. E.g. robbery, fraud, shoplifting.
Deviance is behaviour which doesnt conform to society's norm or social rules. This can be
legal or illegal.
Legal deviance is behaviour seen as abnormal by people but doesnt mean breaking the law.
Examples of legal deviance is talking loudly in the cinema or library.
Illegal deviance is criminal behaviour that is punishable by the state.
