Argue that society does need a state, Thomas Hobbes in Leviathansays it needs to be restrained by a strong authority
However others such as Locke advocate for a 'Natural state' with 'Natural laws'
focus on individualism means that a natural society will rise with people conforming to natural laws
Argue that society needs to stress individualism, any society that dosent will become disfunctional
