  • he believes that the principal messages of Christ were equality and brotherhood, Christ condemed the pursuit of wealth and the inequalities that existed in ancient times

His ideas:

  • he asserted that it was monopoly capitalism that was preventing the more even distribution of wealth
  • he claimed that capitalism, would never accept higher taxation as a means of redistribution of income
  • public ownership of all major industries was essential to him if economic equality was
