DEINDIVIDUATION IS THE LOSS OF SELF AWARENESS AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY THAT OCCURS WHEN SOMEONE IS A MEMBER OF A CROWD.

AIM: To test the idea of deindividuation

METHOD:  - Female participants were tested in groups of four. They were asked to give electric shocks to some confderate.

- The participants believed that they were taking in part in a learning exercise. There were 2 conditions:

A ; The women giving the electric shocks wore coats anf indetical hoodd

B ; The other women wore their own clothes
