SOCIAL CONTROL
- Refers to the ways in which society tries to ensure that its members conform to laws, rules and norms ; to make sure they don’t commit acts of crime or deviance.
- There are two types : informal social control and formal social control.
INFORMAL SOCIAL CONTROL
- Enforced by the reaction of others. Social pressure from friends, family, work mates and bosses.
