Social change

The way in which a society develops over time to replace the beliefs, attitudes and behaviour with new norms and expectations.

Examples:

-Rosa parks demonstrated commitment by sacrificing her life after being arrested for refusing to give up her seat in the 1950's. This helped trigger the civil rights movement.

-Martin Luther King demonstrated cosistency in his views for many years. This helped bring social change.
