What is slavery ?

A relationship between 2 people. But 1 person has more power over the other person. A slave has no rights and usually isn't paid for any of the work they have done. Liberty is also restricted.

Britain :

18th centuary: Already manufacturing pots, pans & guns

After 1700: sugar was unavailable to buy

1750: ran out of sugar and cotton.

Caribbean :

Tabacco & cotton grown on large farms. required intensive labour.

Not enough people to plant, grow, harvest, pack sugar, tabacco or cotton.

West Africa :

Not enough iron or tin.
