Some people may believe that we should develop the Antarctic regions. This is because it has the chance of possibly preventing Antarctica's ice sheets melting due to climate change. One stakeholder claims that geothermal energy could produce a clean source of renewable energy which would help Antarctica's ice sheets to stop melting.
