Series Circuits
In series circuits the different components are connected in a line, end to end between the +ve and -ve of the power supply (exceot for voltmetres which are connected in parrallel)
If you remoe or diconnect one component of the circuit then the circuit is broken and none of it works.
In series circuits potential difference is shared:
- The p.d. is shared between the various components. Which means they all add up to the total p.d. of the circuit.
