Sending Out of the Twelve Disciples

How the nature of discipleship is shown in the sending out of the twelve:

- Whilst sending out the disciples "two by two" shows Jesus cares about the mentality and well-being of his disciples", it also demonstrates that as a disciple you must follow rules and laws. In the *OT there was a rule that to be told something, there must have been TWO witnesses. The disciples, by going around "two by two" shows they are abiding by the law; all followers of Jesus are expected to do the same and abide by BOTH religious and society's laws and rules.

- Jesus "gave them [disciples] authority over evil", this shows that as a disciple one must be trustworthy and take orders when told to. The church would later have authority over…
