Judicial appointments 

• Carried under the rules of Constitutional Reform Act (2005)
• Body responsible for appointment if Judicial Appointments Commissions. 
• JAC consists of a panel of 15 commissioners. 
• Commissioners make appointment on merit. 
• Have to consult with Lord Chief Justice  (Sir Ian Burnett)
• Makes recommendations to the Lord Chancellor (Lord Liddington)

Qualifications

• Need to be qualified for judicial posts which are avertised as requried.
