- Pigments give paints there coulours:
- Paint is usually made up of the following: Solvent, binding medium and pigment
- The binding medium is a liquid that carries the pigment bits and holds them together
- When the binding medium turns solid this is when it is applied to a surface and makes the pigments stick
- The solvent within paint allows the binding medium and pigment to still be runny and in liquid form when in the tin or tube
