• Diffusion is the slow movement of particles from places where there are lots of them to places where there are few of them. In scientific terms diffusion is the NET movement of particles from an area of a higher concentration to a lower concentration. 
• Diffusion occurs in both liquids and gases. This is due to the individual particles in these are aloud to move freely and randomly. Gas diffusion is the simplest type, this is when different gases diffuse through each other. An example of gas diffusion is when perfume is sprayed and it travels through the room.

• Cell membranes hold the cell together however…
