INCIDENCE PREVALNECE AND DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS.

The liftime risk of developing schizophrenia is 1%

It generally develops in the early adult life between the ages of 15 and 45.

Equally common among male and females however it may occur in males 4/5 years earlier 

COURSE AND PROGNOSIS

It is an episodic illness, intervals of psychotic disturbance and episodes
