• Sankey diagrams show how much energy put in is turned into useful energy and wasted energy
• The more energy there is, the thicker the arrow
• The most efficient appliances will have the thickest useful energy arrow(s)
• With a sketch like this, you don't know the actual amounts
• But you can tell that most of the energy is wasted as heat
