Why were Romans so interested in decent Public Health? Using Factors
Government:
- they had HUGE cities with densley packed populations- increased the danger of epidemics
- Public health projects helped politicians win votes
Attitudes and Beliefs/ Science:
- They knew that good hygiene= good health (did not understand why though)
War
- In order to keep empire under control, soldiers had to be kept healthy
Technology
- renowned for their engineering abilities
- used skills from building other things e.g. forts to make aqueducts and sewers
