OVERVIEW
Details the benefits of living a simple country life, idea that it is wrong to seek pleasure through over-indulging but more important to find satisfaction from a life of simplicity. Emphasises to avoid gluttony whilst not being stingy and ungenerous.
KEY CHARACTERS:
Glutton: Reflects the behaviour of a typical glutton, questions this imaginary figure and calls him a fool for his luxurious lifestyle
A Rich Man: Wealthy (imagined) man who has little chances of falling into poverty. Advises him to spend his money on the less fortunate and the benefit of others.
