Main role
- Is to be direct and control trials.
- Ensure fairness (makes both sides equal)
- Give a eqaul opportunity for both sides to give their case.
End of a trial
- Sum up the case to the jury
- Explaining man facts and relevant legal issues
- If D is guilty the judge will decide the appropriate sentence according to tariff and any aggravating and mitigating factors.
