Revolt of the earls

Revolt of the Norman earls 1075

King william was graduallly constricting the power of his earls which made the earl of east anglia ( Ralph de gael) angry aswell as slowly shrinking the land of hereford which made the earl of hereford ( Roger de bretuil ) very angry. 

At a dinner party they bothed plan to start a revolt and over throw King William. They also decided to tell waltheof ( the earl of Northumbria ) they plan and he agreed to take part. There planned to start the revolt when William would go to Normandy…
