HYPOTHESIS - precise testable statement regarding the expected outcome of an investigation
- should be expressed very specifically
AIM - a general statement about the purpose of a investigation -
- gives focus of research
EXPERIMENT - conditions where a specific variable is manipulated to observe its effects on another variable, while controlling other extraneous variables.
VARIABLE - a measurable characteristic that can change from one observation to another
Two types are Independent which is changed in order to measure its effect on another variable. And dependent variable which is the thing being measured by the researcher
EXPERIMENTAL HYPOTHESIS - a hypothesis used in the context of the experiment
