Glanzer and Curitz (1966)
- Aim: Investigating evidence for seperate memory stores.
- Procedure: -Participants were shown a list of words.
-They were then asked to recall the words in any order.
-Participants were divided into two groups.
-One group recalled the words immediateley.
-One group counted backwards and then recalled their words. - Findings: -The immediate recall group remembered the first and last words best.
-The delayed recall group remembered the first words best. - Conclusion: Findings support the concept of separte memory stores by showing that delayed recall interfered with STM…
