The Basics:
Social Survey- Structured questionnaires designed to collect inofrmation from a large number of people in standardised form.
Experiments- Aim to measure precisely as possible the effect which one variable has on another, aiming to establish cause and effect relationships between variables. Two types of experiments; field and laboratory- a lab experiment takes place in a controlled environment such as a lab, whereas field experiments takes place in a real-life setting like a classroom or a high street.
