Remiliterisation of the Rhineland 1936

HideShow resource information

Hitler decides he's going to move German troops back into the Rhineland in March 1936

Why? Because there is no military protection for German people in the Rhineland so Hitler provides protection.

It is also destroying the treaty which is one of Hitlers 3 main aims.

He wants to intimidate France and make it feel vulnerable, threatened.

It shows German aggression and the power that Hitler said, no one wanted
