Drugs
There are legal drugs such as : paracetamol, tabaco and caffine
Ther are also illegal drugs such as : cocaine, ecstasy and heroine
Religious attitudes towards taking drugs
Christianity
- legal drugs are good if prescribed by a doctor
- tabaco is not good as it harms the body and others around you
- alcohol is banned in some churches and ribena (or something similar) is drunk at the eucharist
- all other churches drink wine at eucharist, and say that alcohol is ok if drunk in moderation
- caffine is fine
- illegal drugs are very bad as they harm the body and disobey the law
Buddhism
- legal drugs are good if prescribed by a doctor
- tabaco is not good as it clouds the mind and makes meditation impossible, it also harms others which goes against the 1st precept:…
