Drugs

There are legal drugs such as : paracetamol, tabaco and caffine

Ther are also illegal drugs such as : cocaine, ecstasy and heroine

Religious  attitudes towards taking drugs

Christianity

• legal drugs are good if prescribed by a doctor
• tabaco is not good as it harms the body and others around you
• alcohol is banned in some churches and ribena (or something similar) is drunk at the eucharist
• all other churches drink wine at eucharist, and say that alcohol is ok if drunk in moderation
• caffine is fine
• illegal drugs are very bad as they harm the body and disobey the law

Buddhism

• legal drugs are good if prescribed by a doctor
• tabaco is not good as it clouds the mind and makes meditation impossible, it also harms others which goes against the 1st precept:…
