Religion and Society - Why are human rights important to Christians?

There are many biblical passages that teach Christians the importance of human rights. 

In the first book of the Bible, Genesis, it says: "Adam named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all human beings (Genesis 3:20), which shows we are all related. Even modern science agrees with this hypothesis. Christians believe that if we are all related, then we are all entitled to the same rights - our human rights.
