Regeneration

Based on real characters, the only characters in the novel who wasn't real was Billy Prior and the women. Prior gives themes of class and alienation. Some like Rivers an upper-class gentleman who hasn' t been to the front as did many people thought that class didn't matter in the trenches, however Prior tells him it does.

Begins with Sasson's real declaration about wanting the war to end.

Rivers is seen as almost a father figure to many of the men at Craiglockhart. Anderson goes back after trecking in the fields and becoming scared because of Rivers.
