REBIRTH 

- Buddhists deny that there are souls. 

they belive that it is not an indiviusl soul but an ever-changing individual character which moves from rebirth to rebirth. 

- this can illustarted by the idea of a flame being transfomred from one candle to another. in the same way,the consciousness transferred betwee one life and the next but it is not identical or compleetly distinct.
