Reasons for Taking Part in Physical Activity

1.) Cooperation

Many sports are played in teams; netball, football, hockey, and rugby. Working in groups helps to improve teamwork and cooperation, which are often essential in everyday life. It's important to be able to support and encourage team mates whilst playing, so cooperation is needed by most - if not all - players in that team. 

2.) Competition

Competition can be thought of as psycholohical both in terms of the preparation necessary to compete and in terms of getting away from the stresses of life. When competing, most people put aside their problems and concentrate on doing well in their sport.
