  • Christianity is a way of life. It is so much more than reading and believing a book. The Bible is only a starting point of being a Christian, and it is how the words of the Bible are put into action that's important.
  • When Jesus told his stories, he didn't expect his followers to listen to him and then ignore what he had said. He expected them to put his teachings into action, helping the poor, worshipping God, leading by example and so on. Reading the Bible on its own without charity work and following the teachings is pointless. If a person spends all day reading the Bible, but if they do nothing about what they read, what is the point?
