Rate of reaction- Foundation and Higher

  • The rate of reaction can be measured by measuring the rate at which reactants are used or at which products are formed.
  • The measurement depends on the nature of the reaction eg. the mass of a substance (g, l,s) is measured with a balance and the volume of gas is measured with a syringe.
  • The rate of reaction against time can be plotted on a graph (readings on vertical, time on horizontal).
  • The rate of reaction increases if the temperature
