Rahe Procedure

The study consisted of 2463 Navy enlisted men, 125 Navy officers and 96 Marine enlisted personnel aboard three US Navy cruisers. The mean age across the three ships was 22.3 years, from a range of backgrounds in terms of education, rank and maritime experience. The sample represented between 90 and 97% of each ship's crew.
