Jodo Shu
- Honen was the founder of Jodo Shu; he was a Tendai monk but came to prefer the simplified practice of Pure Land and the Nembutsu
- Karma has a place in Jodo Shu and therefore morality is important
- If an evil person recites the Nembutsu, his entry to the Pure Land will be delayed by his heavy karma - 'If an evil man can enter the Pure Land, how much more a good man' (Honen)
