Melody

• 1st half of the section is ascending and the 2nd half is descending
• Melody is scalic.
• Trills at every cadence point.
• Dotted notes used to prepare for the cadence.(eg: bar 12).
• Periodic phrasing
• Sometimes chromatic.
• A lot more rests and crotchets compared to section 1.

Tonality

• It is in the relative minor (B minor).
• E minor is the sub dominant of B minor and they are both secondary dominants.
