¨Many studies have explored the development of pupil subculture ¨A subculture is a smaller culture within a wider culture ¨Most focus has been on subcultures opposed from school, however they may also be in favour of school ¨The working class are more likely to create anti-school-subculture ¨This may be for a range of reasons e.g. Status deprivation -> WC face obstacles in getting good grades and therefore lack status
