One Social psychological theory of aggression is the social learning theory.
Social learning theory says behaviour are learnt in two ways:
1) Directy through reinforcement (i.e. reward and punishment).
2) Indirectly by seeing others being rewarded or punished for behaviours ( vicarious learning).
Bandura (1965) conducted the Bobo doll experiment to investigate whether aggressive behaviour can be learnt through reinforcement and punisment.
