Findings and Conclusions
- There was a significant postive correlation between (a) six month period of time on the cruise and (b) cruise-period illness.
- A correlation coefficent was calculated to be .118, which may sound a weak correlation, but given the number of participnats involved was actually highly significant (there was a probability of less than 1% that this result could have occurred by chance-this is written as p(probability) less than 0.01).
