Prison Study

Aim: Reicher and Haslam carried out this study to examine the consequences of randomly dividing men into groups of prisoners and guards within a specially constructed institution over a period of 8 days.

Sample: 15 pps, all male, 5 guards 10 prisoners (randomly allocated)

Method: Experimental Case study, 15 pps all male, volunteer sample found through leaflets and advertisements, daily psychometric testing took place as well as daily swabs of saliva being taken in
