Bowlby created a theory of attachments which highlights attachmets are innate. Bowlby says infants have an innate drive to attach so they can survive and reproduce. Bowlby's theory consists of adaptive (mentioned in the first sentance), social releasers, critical/sensative period, monotropy, internal working model and continuity hypothesis.
