The Biological Approach
The approach focuses on the way inh which our biological make-up influences behaviour and our thoughts
The basic assumptions are that all the thing that are psychological are bilogical. the mind is in the brain so all the thoughts and feelings and behaviour has a physical cause therefore psychology should investigate the brain, the nervous system and the neurochemical.
Humans genes have evolved for a million of years therefore the behaviour helps us to survive which are more likely to be passed onto the future generations. so the behaviour is influenced by our genetic make up and genetic inheritance.
Humans have evolved biologically through evolution and they have a lot in common with other animals especially those that are close to human in the 'evolutionary tree'
