  • One strength of drug therapies is they're effectiveness, research evidence indicates that chemotherapy do work. For example WHO (whole health organisation) 2001 reported what relapse rates after one year where highest (55%) when schrizophrenics were treated with a placebo 25%  with chlorpromazine alone and 2-3% when chlorpromazine was combined with family intervention. This suggests that drugs play an important role, although treatment with drugs alone is less effective than drug treatment combined with psychological support. 
  • A further strength is that using chemotherapy is that it requires little effort from the user, considerably less than for therapies such as psychoanalysis. In reality, however, many clinicians advocate a mixture
