The term science refers to gaining knowledge through objective investigation.

Wundt was known as the father of psychology and was a Psychologist. Psychology was a branch of philosophy. Wundt created the first psychology lab in Germany in 1879. Psychoology then emerged and had its own right seperate to philosophy. Wundt prompted the use of introspection when looking at the human mind and mental processes. He argued that humans should be analysed in components such as sensations, emotions and reactions on present experiences.
